Years after your wedding is over, you shouldn't have a collection of a few pretty images from your special day. Instead you should have a cohesive body of work that transports you back to how the day felt.

Epic portraits? of course. But so much more than that - photos of the in-between, the candid and the sometimes messy.

I will direct and coach you to look your very best, but I'll also be diligently watching and waiting for that which is unscripted, surprising and joyful.

I’m Kevan, Your Mountain Wedding Storyteller

A wedding and boudoir photographer based out of Fernie, British Columbia.

I've learned through many years of experience how to make everyone look their very best in front of the lens (how you and I see the world is NOT the same as how the camera sees the world). My unique approach blends technical skill with an eye for the unexpected, allowing me to capture both the grandeur of your wedding and the intimate moments often missed. It's not just about 'getting the shot'; it's about telling a cohesive, compelling story that you'll treasure for a lifetime.

Some of my favourite images

Angela and Braydon

When we decided what we were looking for in our wedding photographer, we really only had two criteria. The first being that they had to know Canmore in order to get the most out of our mountain wedding. The second being that we wanted someone who could shoot the Cornerstone Theatre, as we noticed the lighting could be difficult. A quick Google search and an email lead to our first meeting with Kevan. It only took a few minutes on Skype and we knew we had our guy. Not only is Kevan an amazing photographer but we had an instant connection.

Kevan set us up with unique photo locations and made intuitive, important game-time decisions with the constant changes in weather. A spring wedding in a snowstorm could have phased even the most laid-back couples, but his confidence put us at ease!

The biggest compliment that we could pay Kevan is that he was able to capture the emotion and feeling of our special day with every photo he took. Looking back at our photos takes us back to that special  day and we will always be grateful for that gift that Kevan’s pictures are able to provide.

How far in advance do you recommend we book?

Due to our busy boudoir studio, I only accept a limited number of bookings each year to ensure the highest quality of work for each of my couples and to make sure that I can turn things around quickly for each couple. The sooner you reach out, the more likely you'll secure your preferred date. I only book 18 months out in advance though.

Why do you include an album with every collection?

I believe your wedding day is a milestone worth preserving not just in a digital format but in a tangible family heirloom. I've seen far too many clients come back because they've lost track of their digital images. Including an album ensures that you'll have a well-curated story that brings you right back to how the day felt. It's a connection point that even your future generations can touch and feel.

How long do we have to wait to receive our images?

Your first look at your wedding photos will be during the guided album reveal, which is typically ready upon your return from the honeymoon. Following that, your full gallery becomes immediately accessible, allowing you to relive your special day without any further delay.
