Alberta is a funny place.  Kevan was shooting a wedding at the end of August on a Friday in Banff, and it was cold and wet.  I think it actually snowed while they were doing their portraits!  One day later and a mere 150km away and it was clear skies and hot.  We had a perfect day for shooting an outdoor wedding with Nicole & Don!

Nicole did a touching first look with her Dad…

…and then it was off to meet up with Don for their own first look.

Their wedding ceremony and reception was at the Al Azhar Shrine Centre.  It’s been a while since we’ve been there.

This is our third wedding this summer with Maureen Roberts.  She is one of the most sincere people you’ll ever meet, and it just so happens that she’s the best officiant in the Calgary area!  If you’re looking for someone to officiate your wedding, I strongly suggest you contact her!

Following the ceremony we headed out with Nicole and Don for their portraits and did everything at the Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park.  If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a new park created from donated land in the river valley between Cochrane and Calgary.  Thankfully Nicole & Don arranged for transportation to get us from the parking lot to the different locations throughout the park, because it probably would have been 10km round trip!
