Carly & Ryan were married on a chilly Sunday afternoon in Calgary. As I mentioned in their engagement blog post, there were a couple connections from past clients and it was great to chat with some of the same crowd again!
Their day started at Skyview Community Church of the Nazarene, which coincidentally shares the same building as Rocky Mountain College where my wife went to school.
Carly’s Dad seeing her just before the ceremony.
That moment right after the ceremony…
We spent some time at Prince’s Island Park doing some of their portraits.
The flower girl was such a trooper for this picture – it was SO cold out!
The group needed to warm up, so we left to go to Fort Calgary. I took pity on the wedding party and left them inside while we went out for some relaxed portraits.
Ryan and the groomsmen were swapping wearing this hat all afternoon, so I thought it was fitting that we get a picture with it.
Carly & Ryan laughing at one of my bad jokes.
I managed to talk the wedding party into braving the cold for one last shot.
We did a little shooting right inside Fort Calgary as well.
This was my first time in Fort Calgary and I never knew they had such a beautiful venue for wedding receptions.
That moment during a speech when you say something that can get misconstrued. He recovered pretty quickly!
I think they were pondering whether or not they were going to do the cake smear on each other.
Congratulations Carly & Ryan and thanks for including me!
