I’m really excited to share Vanessa & Steve’s wedding from last weekend at the Cochrane Ranchehouse! We had beautiful light, some really cool locations, and a great group of people to hang around with! Vanessa & Steve’s timeline was a bit of a mix, where we had a little time with them before the ceremony for a first look, and then a couple hours following for the rest of their portraits where we could explore the area a little. I really loved the variety of what we captured, and I’ll let the photos below speak for themselves!
It wouldn’t be a proper July wedding in Alberta without a severe thunderstorm warning.
I love this moment shared between Vanessa and her Dad just before they walked out for the ceremony.
Their kissing game required couples to do a demonstration of a kiss they wanted to see. Steve took it to the next level!
Steve’s grandfather was in the navy and was presented this beautiful sword by the Queen before World War 2. His grandfather wanted to make it a family heirloom and have a strong connection to past family at weddings, so it has been used since to cut the cake. Pretty cool tradition…and honestly, how many people get to cut their cake with a sword?!
Thank you so much Vanessa & Steve for including us in your wedding!
