We’ve been looking forward to Holly and Joe’s wedding since they booked with us earlier this year. We got to know them a little on their engagement session, and had a feeling that they were going to have quite the party! Needless to say, they didn’t disappoint!
We started out the day by doing their portraits before the ceremony. It gave us a chance to explore a little, and allowed them to have a relaxed timeline. Around this time of year, especially in the mountains, it’s not uncommon to have to deal with the cold and snow, but the sun was out and it was HOT! Definitely a nice treat for the start of October! Holly and Joe were married just outside of town at Cokasis, and following their ceremony we had a little more time for pictures. Holly is a firefighter here in Fernie, so she had a colleague bring the vintage Studebaker out for some portraits. After that, we headed up to Ridgemont, where Holly and Joe climbed to the top of one of the bike structures. While it felt pretty sturdy, I’m not entirely convinced that those jumps are meant to support 5 people at a time!
Holly and Joe’s first look was done at the Fernie Tea and Coffee House. A huge thanks to Randy and Angelika who graciously opened up the space for them!
Quite possibly my favourite ring shot of all time.
His and her cakes.
