If you have been in Western Canada during the last couple of weeks, you will know that we experienced a bit of a cold snap. (If you are on Facebook you probably couldn’t avoid seeing a bazillion photos of people’s digital thermometers; but that is a subject for another day!) Suffice to say – it was cold; and not exactly what would be classified ideal portrait weather.
However, the plans were all laid, and there wasn’t a great time to reschedule. So, as they say in show-biz, the show must go on. And the thing is – the light was amazing! Fernie has seldom looked prettier than it did during the cold snap, because the snow had come down wet and heavy and then froze on the trees when the cold settled in. Mix in some blue-bird skies and it couldn’t have been nicer. We shot until the cameras froze up, and got a really nice variety. I hope that you enjoy the images!
