It was such a privilege to document Kristen and Jason’s day with them. After shooting their engagement session back in the fall, I knew that they would be a lot of fun to work with.

Definitely a team effort.

Seeing each-other for the first time.

Geeky photography note – I’ve been loving the Westcott Ice Lights that we picked up this year. They let me create really simple portraits in spots that I would never otherwise think to use. These next two were just at the top of the stairs in a really dark spot of the hotel as we were leaving to start the formals and they took approximately ten seconds to get dialed in.

After that, we booked it back to the Fernie Golf and Country Club where they were having their ceremony and reception.   This is Troi’s shot of Jason waiting for his bride to come down the aisle.

Kristen’s sister was having a hard time holding it together when they were signing the register.

Troi’s shot.

My shot.

The first dance was truly one of the funniest that I have seen in a long time. Those sparklers that you see the guests holding in the background? Not so agreeable with the fire alarms. Can’t say that the blaring alarm was quite the perfect accent to their first dance song choice…
