I had the chance to meet up with Lisa and Dario, the other night for a beautiful engagement session on her parent’s property near Lake Koocanusa, which is about halfway between Fernie and Cranbrook. We have got lots of ties with these two, as we first met Lisa way back at Zoe and Quinn’s wedding just when we were starting out with our photography. She has since gone on to run her own wedding planning company (We Connect) and we had the good privilege of working with her twice last summer: at Ashley and Clint’s wedding here in Fernie, and again at Sandra and Carl’s wedding out in Nelson and Crawford Bay. There is also a connection with Dario, as we shot his brother’s wedding in Calgary two summers ago (Elizabeth and Damian)!

Needless to say, it really felt a lot more like hanging out with a couple of friends then anything else. Lisa’s mom serves a mean cup of coffee, so I may have to convince them to let me come back to hang out even after the wedding is over! Their wedding is coming up right away here, and I am really looking forward to seeing them again, and sharing some of Lisa’s incredible talent with you!

On the way home from their session, I was fortunate enough to see this. I had a good photographer friend (thanks Shelley!) remind this week about how fortunate we are to live where we do. It never gets old for me!
