It’s been a long time since I have photographed a wedding at Copper Point Resort, and it was a real treat to be able to go back there. I had a blast hanging out with this crew and celebrating their beautiful day!
It was a perfect summer morning as I started out the day with Steve while he was getting ready before I met up with Lori to photograph the final touches. Once she was ready, the boys walked out to the patio, where Lori and her father went out to meet them, while everyone from the pool and other onlookers watched the small but beautiful ceremony.
After the ceremony, we headed off to get some pictures together and to really capture that freshly married feeling. We went out to the mountains and lake, took a few pictures in the forest, and even took some pictures in the wheat field before finishing with some shots in the city. Then, we headed back to the reception. At one point, while we were taking pictures, I was able to convince Kalin (the best man) to take off his shoes and socks, roll up his pants, and stand in the lake so that he could hold the flash for a few poses. Thanks, Kalin!
Once we got back to the reception, I was blown away by the first dance that these two performed. They had choreographed it themselves and spent months practicing. Lori and Steve absolutely nailed it, even though the dance floor was much smaller than expected.
There were a few kids under the age of five at the wedding, and they completely stole the show at the reception. They rocked the dance floor and got the party started getting the older folks to join in.
Lori & Steve, thanks for putting up with me as we went exploring around Windermere. Thanks also for being willing to climb the stairs to absolutely nowhere!
