Michelle is an old friend from University and one of our very first clients. We did a trash-the-dress/family shoot for her way back in 2007 when we were still located in the Calgary area. Time marches on, and I could not have been more pleased when she reached out to me via Facebook to see if we could squeeze them in a portrait session of just her and her husband, Jarom. They were passing through Fernie as they left to celebrate their ten year anniversary. It was the first time that they had been on a trip without their boys, and I have to say that I am pretty flattered that they would choose to spend some of that time with me!

I mentioned this on our fan page already, but I just think it is great for couples to have a portrait session done to recognize an anniversary. There is something about the connection between a couple who have been together for a number of years. They are relaxed and comfortable with each other, and have a connection forged by shared miles. It was a lot of fun for me to shoot and catch up with them again. Can’t wait to do their portraits for their 15th anniversary!
