It’s been awhile since either Duane or I shot up in the Red Deer area, so I was excited to head up to the Wolf Greek Golf Resort near Ponoka to celebrate Nicole and John’s wedding with them. Weather was a bit of a mixed bag, but that is life in Alberta in early May I suppose. I knew from their engagement session here in Fernie back in the fall that Nicole and John had the personality types to pretty much roll with anything, so I wasn’t worried when I saw the forecast.

A few detail shots from the morning.

There’s a joke here somewhere…

A few simple portraits of Nicole before she and John saw each other for the first time that day.

Then it was over to Wolf Creek for a few portraits. The nice thing about the snow was that there weren’t many (read: any) people golfing, so we had free reign of a few spots that we wouldn’t normally be able to get to.

Nicole was getting pretty cold by this point, so as soon as I said ‘alright – I got what I need’ they literally started running back to the vehicle. I managed to get one shot in focus as they ran.

Ceremony.

Cocktail hour.

While were inside the snow kept coming…

Then it was into the dance.

This kid was awesome. She had everyone’s attention.

And even inspired a few attempts at copying. Emphasis on the word attempts.
