Ranita and Farouk met up with me last June at the Crowsnest Pass for a summer engagement session, and I loved exploring the area with them.
You may remember Ranita and Farouk from their amazing Indian wedding I blogged about back in March, but I wanted to go back and share images from this session as well to showcase not only their love but the beautiful locations we were able to explore together.
I had always wanted to do a session at Crowsnest Pass, so when these two agreed to come down from Calgary to meet me there, I was thrilled. Once we met up, I only had a rough game plan of where I wanted to go—with Lundbreck Falls, The Burmis Tree, and Frank Slide high on the list. We decided to simply go with the flow and explore a few spots I had always wanted to use before.
I’m so glad that Ranita and Farouk were willing to try these spots out with me. The images turned out wonderfully, especially the ones with Lundbreck Falls in the background. Those shots feel very exotic to me even though we didn’t have to travel far to get them.
Even the weather held out for us, though we were afraid we were going to get rained out by a big thunderstorm that was headed our way. Luckily, the storm stayed on the other end of the Pass while we shot, allowing us to capture these memorable images without getting wet.
Farouk & Ranita, thank you again for asking me to be your engagement photographer and for being so willing to come and explore new places with me. Thank you also for asking me to be part of your amazing wedding. Looking back on these engagement pictures made me remember not only how much fun we had for this session but also how beautiful and exciting your wedding was after that.
