Robb and Kathleen were married on March 26th, with a ceremony and reception at the Panorama Mountain Resort.
I started out this wedding documenting the “getting ready” portion of the day before setting up a first look between Robb and Kathleen. These two were naturals in front of the camera, with such open emotions and expressions that made my job so easy. This wedding was filled with candids because their natural reactions and organic moments set the tone for the entire day.
After the first look, we grabbed some portraits before we headed up to panorama mountain for the ceremony. One of my favourite shots of the day was the wide-angle one from the back of the ceremony. That backdrop is incredible!
We grabbed a few more portraits up on the mountain before everyone who was at the ceremony piled into the little hut at the top of the chairlift for a fondue celebration. This group of people really knew how to party, and everyone had a blast together. I even got to get involved a little bit as Robb and Kathleen’s family and friends graciously attempted to teach me how to play darts.
One of the sweetest quiet moments of the day was when Robb and Kathleen headed out to the fireplace on the deck. She snuggled into his lap while they visited with their family—I loved seeing how comfortable they were with each other as well as seeing how much they enjoyed being around friends and family.
After the fondue celebration, we took the chairlift back down and headed off to a reception at the local pub, where again, the whole day was filled simply with honest, candid moments between Robb and Kathleen and their friends and family. With such obvious love and support absolutely filling the pub, it was easy to get swept away in it.
Kathleen & Robb, thank you for asking me to document your special day. I loved getting to know not only you but your amazing family and friends. Thank you for letting me be part of your celebrations!
